Loftus finds the members of two bands¬Rex and Red Red Meat¬collaborating with a dude from Tortoise. It is a wonderful record that tears various genres apart with glee. ¬The mood that Loftus creates moves up and down, but always in a way that feels expected and not quite comfortable, as though it were residing within one person over the course of a single traumatic day.¬ ¬This sounds like a drunken hillbilly and a bluesman got into a fistfight in a studio submerged in a sea of codeine and liquid valium. Inspired, weird, frightening and beautiful.¬
