Here's a 27 track singles compilation from this kitsch female Japanese rock and roll band that borrows heavily from Shonen Knife's kitschy sense of humor, but not their buzzing three-chrord Ramones style pop homage.Instead 5,6,7,8s follow the frenzied attack of pseudo rockabilly punkers like The Cramps, which makes their American lyrics all the stranger. Their sheer sonic power and catchy riffs have been around for a while in fact some of these singles are from way back in the early '90's. They have recorded for many labels all over the world, including Sympathy for the Record Industry and Giant Claw.Some of their tracks were featured in the movie Kill Bill by Quentin Tarantino; one of which appears on this release.
